Heart & Hands

Respect, Safety & Privacy
Shibari Lounge strives to be a safe place for all our visitors. We ask our visitors to play responsibly and have respect for your fellow participants. Some principles we hold dear (aka house rules):

1. The privacy of everybody present is very important to us. Therefore it is not allowed to take pictures, videos or other recordings with any type of recording device.
2. When not tying, do not 'reserve' a suspension point. Take your gear with you, to make room for another couple eager to get started.
3. We put a lot of effort selecting good music for each event. Out of respect for the organization we kindly ask you not to Shazam.
4. Do not to spread flyers or make explicit publicity for your own or other events without our consent.
5. Shibari and drugs do not mix. If a visitor appears to be intoxicated, we reserve the right to remove this person from the venue to ensure the comfort and safety of others.
6. Be respectful and friendly to your fellow participants and to the Shibari Lounge team.
7. If you subscribed to an event and cannot make it, we'd appreciate it if you inform us.

Non-compliance with any of the above may result in being removed from the venue.

Drinks
F & B

Please support our festival and do not bring your own drinks into the venue. It's okay to bring a snack. We offer an array of drinks and some snacks at democratic prices. Drinks and snacks are paid for with consumption cards, which you buy at the bar. Present your card to order, and the bar staff ticks off your order. When your card is full, just buy a new one. You can keep unfinished cards for future events in Shibari Lounge. The bar will be closed during performances. During the 25-minute breaks, the bar is open. Free filtered water is available on Shibari Night and the After Party.

It is however every participant’s own responsibility to respect all safety aspects of Shibari. We clearly state that you participate in any Shibari Lounge event fully at your own risk. The organization cannot be held liable for damage or injuries to people or personal belongings.
